Trauma & Grief Therapy

Some experiences reshape how safe the world feels, or how we carry loss. Whether you're processing something recent or something that happened long ago, healing doesn't mean forgetting — it means finding a way to carry it that doesn't weigh so heavily on your daily life.

What This Can Look Like

Trauma and grief show up in many forms, including:

  • Difficult or traumatic experiences, past or ongoing

  • The loss of someone close to you

  • Facing end-of-life questions, either your own or a loved one's

  • Experiences connected to domestic violence

  • Feeling stuck, numb, or disconnected from parts of your life

  • A sense that you should be "over it" by now, and guilt that you're not

How We Work Through It Together

Trauma and grief work moves at the pace that's right for you — never rushed, never forced. In our sessions, we may draw on:

  • Trauma-informed care — creating safety and stability before ever revisiting difficult material

  • Mind-body somatic practices — nervous system-informed work that recognizes trauma lives in the body, not just the mind

  • ACT and mindfulness — building space to hold grief and difficult emotions without being overtaken by them

  • DBT-informed tools — for moments when emotions feel too big to manage alone

There is no fixed timeline for healing from loss or trauma. Some days will be about talking things through; others will be about simply being steady together.

A Space Without Judgment

Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone or pretend you're fine. This is a space to be honest about where you are.
